This Newsletter gives a sneak peek into the upcoming Launch of my new product - CafeSocial.io Mixer. I am thrilled to share what I've worked on for the past few months.

CafeSocial.io Vision

Let's recap. When I published the CafeSocial.io Vision, I set out to help people who are struggling to build and maintain both personal and professional relationships. I wanted to build tools and communities where people can connect on a deeper level and form lasting connections.

After months of hard work and dedication, I am excited to announce that I have developed a first product to tackle this challenge. CafeSocial.io Mixer is a platform that helps people meet like-minded individuals and build meaningful relationships based on shared interests. The product is set to launch in the coming weeks, and I can't wait for you all to try it out.

The challenges

People often use situational settings like their job or school to form connections, and so did I. When my job was affected by layoffs, I realized that not everybody has access to such settings or that they may not provide the desired outcomes.

As an introvert, I struggled with finding ways to connect with people outside of my usual circles and sometimes even within the circles. I find it intimidating to approach strangers and start a conversation, especially in large social settings where I don't know anyone, whether those settings are virtual or in person. While some people thrive in such situations, it can be a challenge for me and many others.

One of my observations is that I prefer small, intimate settings over large gatherings to get to know people and start forming relationships. I don't find it attractive to sit in a meeting with dozens of people, mostly ignoring what is being said as my head is spinning and re-iterating how I'm going to introduce myself and what I'll say when it finally is my turn to speak up, just to get this feeling of relieve when I'm done with my part.

For someone based in New York, there is no shortage of meetups and events where people can connect based on shared interests, but as a working parent, time is limited, and many meetups occur in the evening. On top of the challenges mentioned above, the timing makes it difficult for me to attend as I have to sacrifice time with my family. Moreover, only some people are fortunate to live in the middle of a buzzing city with plenty of opportunities. If people live outside of major areas, the time required to attend such gatherings can be a significant barrier, or options might not even be present in their area.

Lastly, as a person with time constraints, I don't want to spend hours reading through profiles, reaching out to people, and coordinating to find a slot to connect only to reschedule the meeting multiple times because short-term obligations come up. I want something efficient that people can join when they have time and for as long as it works for them.

All the above observations and challenges informed the product I built.

CafeSocial.io Mixer

CafeSocial.io Mixer is designed to help people build meaningful relationships in a safe environment and time-efficient manner.

CafeSocial.io Mixers are virtual events that bring people with similar interests together for one-on-one conversations. Participants can join a Mixer on a specific topic and will be matched with other participants in the same Mixer. Since it's all virtual, you can participate from anywhere, and people will be matched with other participants for as long as they want.

These Mixers are designed to be small and intimate so that participants can connect meaningfully. One-on-one conversations reduce the burden of entrance for people who dislike joining large gatherings, create a more intimate setting, and allow participants to have deeper and more meaningful conversations with one another.

A side effect of one-on-one conversations is that people are more present and engaged, leading to more fruitful and enjoyable discussions. That, combined with the fact that people joining a Mixer are intentional about being there and wanting to form genuine connections, leads to a much more rewarding and meaningful experience.

The Launch Plan

The current plan is to launch multiple Launch Party Mixers on Launch Day so people can join the one that fits their schedule the best. The exact time of those Mixers will be communicated at a later point.

After the Launch Day, there will be recurring Mixers on various topics. I plan to cover topics ranging from Community, Entrepreneurship over the latest technologies like AI to Speed Business Networking and more.
